Caps & crowns
Masonry repairLevel 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed
Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Meet the Tampa Team Behind Hadley Chimney Tampa
Hadley Chimney Tampa has been cleaning and repairing chimneys across the Bay area since 2003, and the crew we send to your door is the reason that two-decade run has held together. Every technician on this team is background-checked, uniformed, and trained to document their work with before-and-after photos on every single job. No subcontractors, no rotating cast of day laborers, no mystery van in your driveway. Just local people who know Tampa homes, Tampa humidity, and the specific ways both of those things mess with a chimney. These are the folks you’ll actually meet.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marcus D. – Lead Sweep Technician
Marcus has been with Hadley Chimney Tampa for fourteen years, which means he’s swept roughly 9,000 flues since he started. He’s CSIA-certified and has seen just about every chimney problem Tampa can throw at a house, from rusted-out dampers in Seminole Heights bungalows to creosote-glazed flues in Westchase two-stories. Marcus is our go-to for tricky heat-shield applications and the guy who trains every new technician on how to document flue damage properly. He keeps a photo library of “flues that should have been swept years ago” on his phone, and if you ask nicely, he’ll show you the before-and-after of your own chimney. Marcus is a Tampa native, a die-hard Lightning fan, and the only person on the crew who can identify birds by the sound they make in your chimney.
Lena R. – Senior Repair Technician
Lena handles most of the structural and liner work that comes through Hadley Chimney Tampa, and she’s certified to install DuraFlex and HeatShield systems. She spent nine years doing masonry restoration before joining Hadley, which means when she tells you a repair can wait or needs to happen now, she’s speaking from experience, not a sales script. Lena is the technician who will sit down with you and walk through the camera footage from inside your flue, frame by frame, until you actually understand what you’re looking at. She lives in Brandon and keeps a small vegetable garden that she claims thrives on chimney ash, which everyone on the crew finds suspicious but won’t challenge her on.
DeShawn T. – Service Coordinator & Scheduler
DeShawn is likely the first voice you hear when you call Hadley Chimney Tampa, since our phones are answered by a live person around the clock, and DeShawn works the daytime schedule. He’s been with the company for seven years and knows the Tampa service map well enough to plan routes that get technicians to New Tampa and South Tampa on the same day without making anyone wait through a four-hour window. DeShawn coordinates the live arrival tracking so you can see when your technician is actually rolling up to your street. Before he joined Hadley, he managed logistics for a local moving company, and he’ll tell you that scheduling chimney sweeps is just as complicated but way less heavy. He’s also the crew’s unofficial weather watcher, which matters more than you’d think when afternoon thunderstorms roll through Tampa Bay during sweep season.
Eddie M. – Apprentice & Camera Operator
Eddie joined Hadley Chimney Tampa two years ago as an apprentice, and he’s the person running the flue camera and documenting every inch of your chimney during inspections. He’s currently working toward his CSIA certification and shadows Marcus and Lena on most jobs. Eddie handles the photo documentation that supports our Relay Visibility Guarantee, so the photos you receive after a sweep or repair are usually his work. He grew up in Riverview and spent his summers helping his uncle repair roofs across Hillsborough County, so he’s comfortable on a ladder and unbothered by Florida attic heat. Eddie is also the crew’s best flatbread pizza spot finder, a skill that emerged organically and has become quietly essential to team morale.
One Standard, Every Job
What keeps this crew honest is the same set of standing commitments on every job, whether it’s a one-hour sweep in Carrollwood or a full liner replacement in Ybor City. Every customer gets a written price before any work starts, not after the chimney is opened up and the bad news arrives. Every repair carries a written guarantee for 365 days, and if that repair fails, the second visit is free. That’s the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and it’s not a promotion, it’s the way Hadley Chimney Tampa has operated since 2003. The Relay Visibility Guarantee runs underneath all of it: live arrival tracking, before-and-after photo documentation on every job, and digital invoicing, so nothing is left to trust alone. Cory Mitchell, who owns Hadley Chimney Tampa, sets the tone from the top: if you wouldn’t put it in writing and back it with photos, don’t put it in the report. The Tampa team works under that standard every day, and the people above are the ones who make it stick.
